Getting to Alaska

Ted Stevens Airport is the main hub for the state. Most major airlines fly to Anchorage and the airport is very easy to navigate (compared to most major city's).

Getting around Anchorage

The airport is in Anchorage proper, but it is still advised that those visiting from out of state secure transportation. There are rental car companies based in the airport. Late June is a busy time, so if you need a large vehicle for family, we recommend booking early. There are also local cabs and ride-share services available.

Where to stay

We strongly recommend stay downtown. Please reference the below map (The Anchorage Museum is starred). There are several hotels and rentals in the downtown area and it is very walkable. Late June is nearing peak tourist season, so please book early (at least 8 months in advance, if not sooner).

Listed below are links to some local hotels, but Downtown also has several chains and vacation rental options to choose from. Please reach out if you have any questions.
